Class Projects

A class project is a design I only teach in class. Neither tutorial nor kit is available outside the class room, and I only teach the project myself.

The projects vary in difficulty level according to the scale below. The difficulty level stated is the knowledge you need to have, but the project is of course appropriate for higher levels of knowledge as well.

  • Beginner – you don’t need any previous experience
  • Intermediate –you have stitched with beads before, and have used 15/0 seed beads
  • Advanced – you master thread tension and are used to several beading techniques
  • Expert – you are a skilled beader with great experience in most techniques

It is not uncommon that the time in the class room is too short to finish the project. Therefore you need to be able to follow the tutorial that is handed out in class on your own.

Aim for the sky

Balloons are symbols of joy and festivites for many people, and there is something special about seeing a hot air balloon soaring over a night sky in the summer. In this playful design, we use Cali beads and seed beads to make the basket and envelop a colourful drop bead, before hanging it from a suitable chain.

The project is suitable for Advanced beaders.

Daindellight

Daindellight

These dainty earrings are stitched with just a few crystals and seed beads using Hubble stitch. They go perfectly with the Lindellight necklace.

The project is suitable for Intermediate beaders.

forget me not

This bracelet is inspired by the lovely Forget-me-not-flowers in our Nordic flora. The delicate flowers are stitched using Toho Demi Round beads and CzechMates QuadraLentils, with a little sparkle from the Swarovski Chaton Montées.

Lindellight

Lindellight is an exclusive necklace with lots of sparkle that sits perfectly around your neck. The neck strap is my own invention and is stitched with Swarovski Pearls and Xilion beads. For the focal we use Hubble stitch to bezel Swarovski Vision and Chaton crystals, and to finish off we add a Swarovski Baroque drop and a Claspgarten clasp.

The project is suitable for Intermediate beaders.

This lovely pendant is inspired by the Meso-American iconic building style, with famous temple cities like Tenochtitlan and Chichen Itza.
